I was surfing my facebook the other day, and came across a very interesting conversation based on someone's status.

Person A (Status): Person A just took a huge dose of Atheism, and is welcoming applications from Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Fair warning: Your faith system will be kicked out from underneath you.
Person B:Pokemon. Try to kick that out from underneath me. I fucking dare you.
A:Pokemon... that's a denomenation of christianity, right?
B: Norse Paganism, thank you very much.
A: damn. Then I have nothing I can say... except that Norse Paganism is obviously better than egyption paganism (yugioh...)
Person C: What are you talking about? The world would run better if it was based on a theocracy that depended on card games. Wars could be fought on the game mat, bills would be passed based on the most important criteria, which is who is best at a children’s card game. I dream of an America that a man will not be judged by the content of his character but by his monster-spell-trap ratio. And sending a political opponent to the shadow realm sounds a lot more family friendly than killing them.

Yes, Prak, I read that. I meant how the fvck is Norse paganism related to pokemon in any way, shape or form? Is it absurdist humor or something? Because from where I'm standing it'd make just as much sense for B to say "Giant Frog!" in the above quote

yes, I think it's just absurdist humour. If it's more than that, I don't see how Asatru and Pokemon have anything to do with each other. Unless Loki had a lot of kids we know nothing about... Hm... Arceus is kind of horse like....
